Default shapes missing

I have come to the conclusion that Visio hate me being productive. So I used to be able to search for "outlet" in the search for shapes box and it would bring up a few shapes labeled outlet. I would normally grab the 110 outlet for power schematics but now when I search for outlet, search returns no results. What am I missing (aside from the shapes)???

The indexing service is set to "No" and needs to be set to "Yes"

1) Go to your Search Options again and uncheck the “Everywhere” box
2) Check the "Visio Local Shapes" box
3) Click on "Properties" button
4) Select “Yes, enable Indexing Service.” and OK
5) Then OK to the “Options” dialog box

Try to search a shape again

Good advice Vic, however found the indexing options to be grayed out. I must have some sort of different problem going on. Any thoughts?

If you are using windows vista, do as follow:

1) Open the Start Menu
2) In the search field, enter "Services" and Enter
3) Click on "Continue"
4) Look for "Windows Search" and right click on it
5) Click on "Properties"
6) Make sure the "Startup Type" is set to "Automatic"
7) Click on "Apply"
8) Click on "Start" then "OK" and close the "Services" window
