Hello,

Have just started using this program and was wondering if anyone can shed some light on how to Update the Manufacturer Stencils to use in the Line Drawings as I appear to have none unless they are not updating from the server.

First check what stencils you have - you can do this by opening a D-Tools Visio drawing and opening the Stencil Tree (click D-Tools | View | Display Stencil Tree). Here you will see all your stencils and your manufacturer stencils will appear under the "Manufacturer" node. If you do not see any manufacurer stencils here you need to download using MMPD.

To update your manufacturer stencils you have to go to Download tab in MMPD and go to "Product Download Search" and click "Stencils and Blocks" in the toolbar. Here you can see which stencils and blocks you have downloaded and the ones you need to update. Once you download these stencils they will appear in your Stencil Tree in Visio.

To associate a manufacturer shape to a line view for a product open the product in MMPD and click the Visualziations tab. Here in "Line Diagram" select a Stencil and Shape and save the product. The next time you drop this product in a Visio line view this shape will be used and not the default D-Tools line shapes.

Thanks for the reply, I had issues with the sharing of the Product Data which has now been resolved but will now go through and update the Stencils as I need them.
