Default Wire Label at Both ends

Hey guys,
I am using SI5 w/ Visio. Is there a way to get wire lables at both ends of a cable on a schematic without having to create text boxes to stick at one side? I have searched the forum for this, but had not found anything.

Thanks,
cdr

I've been trying to figure a way to do this also. It gets a little hard tracing a wire when you have so many on one sheet of paper. The only thing that i found to help for now until there is a way to do this is to color every other wire.

At time being, this can't be done in Visio. It is already a feature when drawing schematics in AutoCAD, but until the D-tools guys can find a programmer that can make this happen, the easiest way is to draw a text box on top of the wires that needs it and write the wire ID manually.

Default I have it!!!

I HAVE THIS!!!!!!! I paid dearly for it and will resell it to all of you!! Not only will it populate the Comp ID on both ends, it will also populate the type field every two inches on the wire (if you want it to).

Hmmmm.....How about 500 bucks to each of you and no you can't buy one and then post, that wouldn't be fair to the grueling and painstaking time put into it.

PM me.

Tim -

First off if you purchased this from someone else - do you have the rights to resell? I know that everything that we create and sell licenses they are not allowed to resell. Just curious, I would think that you would provide the info for the person who created it so that he can benefit from all his work??

Second - provide some more info and details of what you are proposing (screenshots; more details etc.)

Third - $500 each!!! You might want to check around with what other parties are charging for plug-in style of items like this - around $100.

@ Dave- I appreciate your concern, as I'm sure intellectual properties and rights reside in most our [collective] consciousnesses. And to answer your question, yes, I am a co-author of the shape and the portion that I was not responsible for has been paid for with no supplemental royalties implied in our original agreement.

Screenshots to follow.

Ah, yes, $500.00 dollars. Simple, supply & demand my friend. You are correct to say that most templates are relatively inexpensive, but they are also freely available; whereas, it looks as though my particular offering is much more exclusive and holds much more value than the "run of the mill" template. Conforming to a typical S&D model, the early adopters will pay a premium, BUT, they will also be the ones that will have the ability afforded to them to capitalize on its' advantages before it becomes a commodity (much like yourself) .

Quid Pro Quo.

I agree with Dave, while yes there is a demand for this wonderful feature, $500 is a WAY too much money for a single feature that we can manage without.
