Dragging Item onto Line Diagram, Shape not using Image - D-Tools Forum

Using SI-5, SP2. Visio 2007.

I have an item that I'm dragging from the PDM to the Line Diagram sheet in Visio. The item has a defined JPG image and the Visualations for Line Diagram (Both Stencil and Shape) are blank.

When I drag the item on the sheet, I get a Visio dialog box to "Insert Shape for: " item.

Obviously, I don't want a Visio shape, I want the image.

I've tried editing the item numerous times and re-syncing MMPD, etc. I've even rebooted...

Anyone have any other ideas?

Works Ok for me, can you post the shape/stencil (zip first) and I will check out here.

It works for most of the products in this particular project... It's just not working for two or three products within the project I am working on.

The products look fine with the MMPD.

Does that help?

Not really. Try this. Go into MMPD and replace the pictures with some other ones and see if that helps. Visio may be rejecting the image but it is OK in MMPD?

I am having the same problem. It seems to be some sort of bug.

I even tried changing the pic type. Or even the pic to a diffrent product.

If you get prompted for a Visio shape your Category may not have a Stencil of its own and you also be missing the Generic stencil. In the stencil tree that appears for you to select a shape - select the "Line Image" from any of the stencils in the tree. The "Line Image" will show a product image image for the shape if one is defined.
