The reason I asked the about SI 4 vs 5 is that in SI 4 you could place reports and some files in the LANSync Share and those files would be automatically distributed on Sync to the top level of the SI 4 folder. I used this a lot to distribute custom reports. It was very handy. Not sure it would help with stencils.

This feature is not in V5, maybe we should bring it back.

Wow! Absolutely! I can't believe it was actually removed. I would hate to have to manually copy files to each machine. Please put it back. Pleeease.

If you have LANSync then copy your Stencils into the Shared LANSync Folder. Then the next time a User Synchronizes they will be prompted to Copy these Files to their local directory C:\Program Files\D-Tools\SI 4.

Does this way of sharing stencils with all other users of D-Tools work the same way with Si5?

n/m, after re-reading the posts. So, the question is, what is the best/easiest way to share custom stencils with all other users in Si5?

Thanks, Rich
