Default Connecting Wire to more than 1 device (or not)

We are currently converting jobs from SI4.5 to SI5 and I have come across what appears to be an annoying new feature: wire taken from the datamatrix can no longer be connected to more than one device on a schematic page (when more than one instance of the wire is created, of course). I have these floating lines that were once connected in SI4.5. If I am foolish enough to reconnect my wire, D-tools knows better than I and makes me choose between automatically disconnecting the wire from another piece of equipment or preventing me from reconnecting the wire it disconnected. This is a siamese wire and my reasons for doing what I have been doing is sound and has worked well. Now this new software wants to be "smarter" than me and prevent me from doing it. How can I turn this off such that I am controlling the software, and not have the software control me in an effort to "dumb it down"? Sorry for the tone, but I am not a fan of new or dropped features in software that are forced instead of being options...

There is no way to turn off the Wire Auditing that was added to SI 5. This function was added so that the same wire was not accidentally used to connect two different components, thus causing anomalies on your wire schedule reports.

In the future, we may add the ability to "spit" wire ends so that you can make connections like w/ a siamese cable or for a component cable but for now the end of an SI 5 wire shape can only be connected to one I/O.

Another change to be aware of is that each end of the wire shape is now treated differently. See this post for details: http://www.d-toolsblog.com/?p=300

What I have done in the past is to just draw a line to the other connection point to visually represent the connection on the drawing page. The drawback is that the reports only read the one connection made with the SI 5 wire shape.
