Default Wire connection

Does anybody know how to add another bend point to a wire. I'm currently doing a A/V schematic and I'm trying to route the cables, but it only allows me so many bends in the wire. The only way I can accomplish adding more bends is using the wire wizard. Is there an easier way to do this?

Thanks

Are you using:

1. An actual wire shape from an item in your database?

2. The line connector tool?

3. Or the line tool?

If you are using 1 or 2, are you connecting to actual connection points on the schematic blocks?

With using 1 or 2 above and connected to connection points, the bends you can implement are many.

Sound like you are using number 3.

How many bends do you have in it? Sounds like laying out your shapes in a more effective way might be my first start. I use the connector tool and as long as the line is glued to two connection points, you can grab a vertex, and move it how you want to creat additional bends.

I don't know how well I explained that, but I did my best. Just how many bends are you getting in one connection anyways?

Jordan,

I think you answered my question. I was using the pointer tool instead of the connector tool. When you pull a wire in from your proposal onto the schematic it only allows you 3 bends when using the pointer tool. I just tried making the connection first then adjusting it with the connector tool and it added more bends for me. Thanks!!

Next question:

I'm sure this has been covered, but how do you break out bundled cables. The way I'm doing it is accessorizing it with dummy wires (ie: Liberty Cebus accessories include (2) cat-5 and (2) RG6) This is a pain in the ass because I have to go through each sku to this with and it also makes the proposal look cluttered w/ extra wires. I also have the same problem with speakers that are sold as pairs as well as baluns that have a send and receive. Is there another way to do this without using the accessories function? Does AutoCAD have this problem as well?
