How come I am not being asked what length the wire is when I drop in a rough in wire? I know SI4 asked for a wire lenth, every wire I put in (including finish wires) is defaulting to 50 feet. It's not a huge deal to have to edit the wire length after the wire has been dropped in, but it is an extra few steps that gets kind of annoying on a drawing with alot of wires.
Be sure that the phase for the wire you are working with is in a phase where the checkbox 'Show head-end dialouge for wires in project is checked'
This is done in setup>phases, but might also be missing from the phases in your project, so check D-Tools>Options>Phases

How come my FINISH wire (AV cables) also default to my roughin lenghths (60ft). Don't get me wrong I would love to sell a 10ft AV cable for $1200.00 but....

You can set the default wire length in the D-Tools>>Options>>General Tab and check display headend dialog when adding wire. We added this as an option because it is MUCH easier to filter the PDM and assign headends/length all at once than asking the same f*&^ing question each time you add a wire to a project.
