Hi John,
Please follow the steps to edit your shape and shade it. As an example I used the Shape Icon_Busbar from the D-Tools Electrical Category.
Step 1: From stencil tree right click on stencil (Electrical) and select “Display Docked Stencil”
Step 2: Right click on the Stencil name (Electrical) and click on “Edit Stencil”
Step 3: Copy and Paste the Shape (Icon_Busbar to Icon_Busbar/Data)
Step 4: Right click on copied shape and click on “Edit Master” then “Edit Master Shape”
Step 5: Select the Shape on the drawing area
Step 6: From the main menu select “Edit” and then at the bottom of the drop down menu select “Open Icon_IR Xmit.7”
Step 7: Modify the Icon as desire
Step 8: Close the Shape
*Step 9: Right click on the shape and select from the right click menu “Show ShapeSheet”
*Note: If the option “Show ShapeSheet” did not show in the right click menu, then go to the main menu “Tools” then from the dialog box go to the tab “Advanced” and check the box of “Run in developer mode”
Step 10: In the shape sheet, go to the “Shape Data” section, and make sure the values in the column “Value” of Manufacturer and Model are equal to the same name (“Manufacturer” = Manufacturer, “Model” = Model). How you can see the values? Just right click on any of the blue texts (such as “Manufacturer”) and select from the right click menu “Values”. Now, if you want your new shape to be generic, replace the value of the category and type for “”
Step 11: Close the ShapeSheet
Step 12: Close the shape again and click “Yes” to save it
Step 13: Right click on the Stencil name and click “Save”
Step 14: Right click on the Stencil name again and click “Edit Stencil”
Step 15: Test it – drag and drop the new shape
I hope you find these steps helpful
