Default wire colors

Is there anyway to change the wire colors, and even add colors to other types of wire?

Ya! Yellow wiring doesn't show very well in print.

I think you are talking about the colored wire on your schematic line drawings. If not, then oh well.

Select your wire(s) with your pointer tool, you may use three of the following options (possibly more) to change the color. 1. Use the Font & Color toolbar and select the Line color you want. 2. Right click one of the selected lines, select format > line. There you will see various line options, color being one of those. 3. On the toolbar you may select format > line. This is the same window as #2, just a different way to get to it.

I have no idea if I just wasted 3 mins explaining this or not. Oh well too late.

Well... for my part, you wasted your few minutes there...
But perhaps its useful for others.

I want to add/change wirecolors to the audio/video/data/control-type wires.
So if i make my own type, say "digital", i want this to be green! (hypotetically(?)) automatic when i drag this type of wire to the Schematic drawing.

I dont't think you understand what I mean...

When I add an AUDIO cable in schematic view, it turns up BLUE,
a VIDEO cable turns up RED,
DATA cables, turns up PURPLE,
CONTROL cables turns up GREY.

Or is it just my version that does this?

I want to add colors for other types of wire, or change the already existing colors.

Regards

bengt

I tried to create a stencil that had several wire types that I typically use along with predetermined line types and colors for each type. Perhaps I did something wrong - but after say @20 or so drops on to a plan any wire dropped thereafter was no longer linked to D-Tools. I had to scrap that idea.

I just tried it and it worked fine, I even changed the font size and line weight

Are you using SI5 with visio 2007?
