Does any one know how to dock the Layers Properties so I dont have to open and close the window every time I want to activate or change a layer? This would be awesome if this is simply done.

No, but how are you opening it? Are you using the icon on the toolbar or opening it from the menu bar at the top (View>Layer Properties)? Using the toolbar is quick and easy. Only takes one click of the mouse.

I go View>Layer Properties. I just think if this window were docked, I could work much faster.

Agreed, but until that happens, it's a lot easier/faster to use the icon on the "View" toolbar. It's the same one you use to hide/reveal connection points, drawing grid, etc. If you don't see the "View" toolbar, right click in the toolbar area and select "view." Then click the layer icon (image attached).
