One note: This is how to with Visio only and not a how to with Visio and
D-tools.
Try and follow this step by step with a D-tools template and you will notice a few steps are missing.
I will get a how to with d-tools doc out as soon as possible.

Hi Folks,

The Visio Insights blog has posted two articles on Visio & CAD integration that might be of interest to you:

CAD Integration in Visio - Part 1
http://blogs.msdn.com/visio/archive/...io-part-1.aspx

CAD Integration in Visio - Part 2
http://blogs.msdn.com/visio/archive/...io-part-2.aspx

Maybe most of this has been covered in Adam's writings, but there is one great thing about this blog: it's actually from the Microsoft-Visio guys. So this is a great opportunity for feedback: enter your Visio/CAD gripes as comments to these posts, they'll be read by the right people.

Cheers,

- Chris

Chris,

Thanks for the info. As the posts state Visio 2007 deals with AutoCAD files MUCH better than any previous version. Of course myself and others have been bitching and documenting about this exact issue since 1998.

What a difference a decade makes.
