Question Inserting PDF Floorplans in Visio

Hey, I need to insert a PDF Floorplan and set it as my background in visio so that i can place product on my floorplans, problem is, not knowing how to insert the PDF to start to accomplish my goal, any help?

It is simple to do, use a PDF reader that has a snapshot tool.

The current version of adobe is good as it allows you to zoom in on the image and drag the snapshot frame over the selected area and scan to the opposite corner of the area to capture the floorplan in as high a resolution as possible.

From there, go to your background page in visio and right-click 'paste'

Done!

is there anyway to do it that is not a pic, the issue i come across now is that the floorplan is blurry.

Zoom way in on the image (200 - 400%) - select the snapshot tool - start in the upper left corner of the image and drag to the lower right corner.

This is great!! I have often taken PDF copies of CAD drawn floor plans opened in Acrobat and done a Save As...change the file type to TIF, JPG, etc.
Problem is sometimes Visio chokes on the files if they are too big.

Using 200% in Acrobat and performing the Snapshot as you suggested worked very well for me.
Trying it at 400% caused my Acrobat to crash...

This is a real time saver but makes it more difficult to scale (if you care about scale).
