Angry Unable to select drawings for reports

I have been trying to find a quick and convenient way to create digital documents for sending to the client, but everything so far has fallen short. In d-tools reports, I have selected drawings to send to a word report, but the application sends ALL drawings, reguardless of what I select. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong? I have tried this with the Client Line Item List Price report. Also, pages with backgrounds selected are missing the background, except the background page itself.

Not everyone has Power Point at home, and that method still requires editing.

When using the "save to web" function, selecting drawings is not even an option.

I am still stuck printing and scanning to PDF, which creates extra work and loss of quality.

Get a copy of Adobe Acrobat and print directly to it instead of printing and scanning. With PDF you can even create PDF's of large scale drawings.
You can also usually add Manuf.'s PDF to a document you created. Very nice.

Thanks for the suggestion,

That is on the way, but I wanted to get the word report working properly also. It will ease the way under certain circumstances. You are correct though, PDFs work for most situations.

Thanks Again

Default Agreed

Printing to Adobe PDF is great for D-tools report as well as drawings. Like jims said, It's nice to send electronic copies of un-editable, scaled drawings to whomever need see them. Also a nice way to back up copies of virtually any document and maintains small file size.http://www.adobe.com

I use CutePDF for this, it has the added advantage og being free.

Very nice. Does CutePDF also do large format drawings like 11 x 17 and 24 x 36? Adobe has been nagging for an upgrade. Maybe I'll go this route instead. Nothing worse than being nagged to upgrade something, when it already does 10,000 things you don't need anyway.

Yes it will do any paper size, it's more limited than Adobe, but it's hard to beat the price.
