Has anyone ever creater a project in text, then openned in Visio, placed all your shapes on the Visio page, saved project, closed Visio, and found that your project data matirx is empty? I have! and am hoping someone might be able to help.

I went through the above then noticed in Navigator that the project I had just created had a zero balance when it should have been closer to $24K. I re-openned in Visio and my drawings still have all the shapes, but there are no products in my Project Data Matrix AND all of my locations and systems; along with their descriptions, are gone.

I can use the import system funtion to get all of my locations back from another proposal for the same project, but how do I get all of my products back into the project data matrix and have them linked to my drawing?

Thank you for the responses. I found the statement below in the FAQ but unfortunately I am not actually getting any errors, my data just isn't there. All of my columns I want are checked, but nothing is listed still. All of my other projects seem to open fine. I can navigate to my projects folder and both the .dtl and .vsd files are there. Any more help?

You receive: Error -2147217900 and the Project DataMatrix is missing when you open a project in Visio.

Error Description: The SELECT statement includes a reserved word or an argument that is missspelled or missing, or the punctuation is incorrect.
Error Number:-2147217900

CAUSE

Possible Cause: (unknown at this time)

RESOLUTION

Resolution:

1. When the error message is up, left click [OK], then right click on one of the little grey boxes at the top of the Project DataMatrix

2. Now, select [Columns]. You will notice that none of the checkboxes are selected in the [Project DataMatrix Columns] window.

3. Simply check (left click) the columns that you normally view and then left click [OK].

Just got off the phone with Caleb, he says it's gone, can't explain it, but it's gone. It looks as if SI5 may have been the culprit. I reset the Project File folder for SI5 to a new folder I created in My Documents but somehow it was still pointing at the same folder as SI4. Caleb found this problem and fixed it so hopefully all is well.
