Unhappy I killed our D-tools-SQL troubles

Ok so I get this great idea that I'm going to upgrade MSDE to SQL Express, why I dont' really know. So anyway I'm unable to connect to SQL Exp and create the necassary D-tools DB. So I figure I can go back to MSDE but no joy. I'm able to connect and see our pojects but I get this error:

" Colud not get connection to the LANSync Server Database. Error is: Connot open database requested in login 'DToolsMaster Table'. Login fails.

I tried rebuilding the db with SQL Managment Studio but no luck.

It's almost 2 a.m. and I'm at my wits end!
Anyone have any ideas?

Make sure the "D-ToolsLanSyncV4.ini" file in the V4 program folder has the proper information needed to attach to the server.

Something like
[MSDE]
DataSource=MYSERVER\DTOOLSMSDE
Authen=SQL
UserName=sa
SharedFolder=C:\D-Tools LANSync Share

Otherwise reinstall Lansync and push up you local db.

Also, have you checked to make sure the service is running?

(I know that's a silly question, but sometimes in dealing with complexities, we tend to ignore the obvious)
