For Example on the "Wire list by Head End" it states:
Head end (From): CATV Service-Splitt-002
To: Residence; Main floor;Living room; Wall-007
Which is how it is supposed to look but for some reason others come out like:
Head end (From): CATV Service-Wall-007
To: Residence; Main floor;Living room;Splitt-002
To correct this, I go into schematics and flip the wire 180 degrees so that the arrow is pointing in the reverse direction. I then go to wire drawing menu and select the arrow that will point back in the appropriate direction. Whew! Waist of time.
Before I do this I check the head end locations etc.. for the wire and product it is connecting to and everything is entered correctly. It should work but doesn't.
Also somtimes it will only come up CATV Service- (And won't put the component associated to beside it, like "Splitt-002")
One last thing. Some lines will not display their wire number on the schematic page.
Any ideas?

There is a big difference in the wire checklist report and the wire connection report.
To get a wire to show up on the wire connection report, it must be an actual piece of data in the project and must actuall connect to a connection point on the scematic block of a device on the schematic page.
In some instances, this is a lot more work than the actual value of a wire connection report delivers.
The goal of a well done schematic is to communicate to the technician how the system is to be wired, and that sometimes is done without shapes that are actually related to data from the project
For instance using the words 'FAMILY ROOM SPEAKERS' on the schematic instead of the actual shapes related to the data for the speakers which take up a lot of space. The wires would not actually connect to the speakers in a D-Tools engineering transaction, so the wire would not show up on the wire connections report.
Ask your audience (those ones using these schematics and wire connection reports) if they really need the wire connection report. It is really redundant to what is shown on the schematic page itself. You may find spending your time doing a great schematic that includes information in the way of shapes NOT related to data in some instances will save everyone a lot of time!
