This is a good point. I have been using this little do dad for a long time.

It just copies files from one dir to another. (I put mine on another computer). I have set up Filters so .bak files go one place while .vss go another.
I backup d-tools_server\data files too
I have to go in and manually create the .bak files with the backup button in D-Tools. Replicator will copy them if I forget.
The computer I move them too is automatically backed up by a linux box that maintains 8 versions of each file.
I backup Projects to two different folders, weekly. One week it goes in A, the next it goes in B. So the linux box maintains up to 16 versions (weeks) of each project.
It aint pretty... but I'm sure I could manage a total recovery if I had too.
