I've been running a trial of one of the leading competing design softwares, and was surprised of all the features missing that I actually would take for granted, such as auto incremental wire numbering, no terminal info on the products etc. But at one field they are way better than D-tools: Rack layouts. The product database has detailed wireframe drawings of front, side and rear of the products. As for Crestron Digital Media Matrix, you just pull all In and Out cards to the slot and it gets added to the project. (I actually made this with shapes in Visio the other day). So what I'm really asking for is a feature where I can add at least a rear view of a component. Side view would also be nice as this often has fans or vents.

Would you mind PMing me or emailing me and telling me which software that is? We're big fans of rack layouts and love the Visio layouts but I'd love to see some examples of this other software.
Also, +1 on the rearview feature.
And some better looking shapes would be awesome... A tall order but making my own shapes is so time consuming
