Default Project Data Update From Master Database

My feature request is to allow for updating data from the master table into a project at a specific field level.

For example: I create a proposal 6 months ago and client finally decides to make a purchase. It would be great to be able to pull specific field updates into the proposal, rather than having to update all data from master to project. Ex: Cost and selling price ONLY.

Anyone agree?

I just spent forever updating costs in a D-Tools project with nearly 400 lines and multiples floors and rooms. About half of the products on the project had cost changes since the date of the original quote. The costs had been updated in the product master, but I did not want to change the pricing or change any descriptions, so I had to change the costs, then correct the pricing, and then rebalance the whole project again. Doesn't this happen to anyone else?

Default Project data update

I absolutly agree, this needs some urgent attention. We have waisted way too much time updating large proposals due to pricing increases for a few. We need a way to go in and make updates to the pricing for only the line items needing it.

Default Cannot update costs on a D-Tools project without updating everything for the product,

Too much time has been spent needlessly updating all items costs in a proposal (both large & small) due to cost changes/increases by 1 vendor. A better and more efficient way is needed to be able to go in and make updates for just the line needing to be amended.

I think there may be some confusion here - do you mean just the specific "data field" that needs updating from the master table (as opposed to all fields being updated as it currently allows you to do). When you say "just the line that needs updating" it sounds like you mean the entire item's data, as opposed to just one field, like the cost or selling price (but not description, specs, etc...). Thats what I'm looking for.

Is that what you mean?
