Default Export to PDF: Folder Memory

When running reports and utilizing the Export to PDF feature, it would be great if the reporting engine would remember the last folder where a report was saved. I suppose this would also pertain to the other Export options.

Example:

1. Open a project and make some edits. Save.
2. Click D-Tools -> Reports.
3. Run a Report Group or simply run several reports.
4. For each report, choose Export to PDF and browse to an appropriate folder for saving. Save the PDF.
5. On each report saved, the last folder chosen within the "Export As" dialog box would be remembered.

In addition, setting a default folder other than the local D-Tools Projects folder would be great. I have never actually saved anything in this location...

Angry Folder Memory

This is also a major annoyance for me. Has anyone had any luck with this? Our folder system was set up external to d-tools, and contains many clients who were not set up in d-tools. I have to drill down to the client folder every time I PDF something.

Someone please fix this!

I've had the same problem. The quickest way I've found is to set up a shortcut to wherever you keep your client files and keep that shortcut on your desktop. I've named mine "zz.Shortcut to projects". Then when the program wants to know where to export the PDF to, I click on the "desktop" icon and then select "zz.Shortcut to projects". (I named it "zz" so it would always be last on my list of desktop icons - and therefore easy to find).

A little cumbersome perhaps, but two easy button pushes gets you to your client folder.

I hope that helps.

I'd really love a folder memory function - or even a feature in Setup where you can apply a default report folder so you always end up in the Project master folder and then D-tools reports will remember the last folder within a reporting session. When you change to another client or project to report from, D-tools gives you the default folder. If this made any sense.
