Default Revision Notes

I didn’t find this already, but it would be handy to have a note associated with the revision so you can have some idea of what it’s about. This would be viewed in the same tab window as the revisions.

we don't use the scope section of D-Tools for scope info so we actually fill in revision info there. If you formatted it well a "scope" report could be modified into a listing of revisions.

I too would like a notes field. Currently it is difficult to be sure what revision I am using for delta/ change order reports. This was a feature in past versions, dunno why it's missing here.

I've brought this up before, it's common sense and pretty basic that we need a note column AND a date column so we can see the notes about the revision and the date the revision was made. I hope this is addressed in the next service pack.

Naresh, I am bumping this. Can we see this (note and date column for revisions) addressed in the next service release?

Thanks

David,

The SP3 list is basically frozen and into testing now. Not sure we can do this at this stage unforunately. This one slipped through the cracks. A lot of other work is done though. I will check if this is possible however.

yes please! I would be willing to wait for the service pack just to have this feature! We have been asking for this for a while and this is a biggie!

I use MS OneNote for all project info....That's also where I put dtl rev descriptions. It's not linked but it works.

Me too. SP2 is pretty damn stable so it's not like I am chomping at the bit for SP3. I'd much rather see it delayed and address a few of these issues that to me are glaring. I wasted 30 minutes due to this issue just the other day.
