Default Orders and accounting & Visio Linking

We often work on projects that are organized within our project based on location and our standard zones, but often I will draw each system based on systems, sub-systems, or anything for that matter.

I was thinking today that it would be nice to be able to generate a Sales Order in D-Tools based on what parts are placed on a specific page of the drawing.

So if I make a schematic of say the control system, which in some cases (Crestron for example) has video switchers with built in control systems. Do I zone it as a control system or video component? So I cannot just generate a sales order of just control system components.

If I had a complete drawing with all the necessary parts in it, I would not have to worry about missing a component when generating a sales order. I could just generate a sales order based on what is on that particular page of the drawing, or multiple pages too.

I think it would be an excellent resource for reporting in general to be able to filter by drawing page. My main use would be for filtering wires used on a page - this way you could pull a wire checklist/labels report for wires on a specific drawing page (or set of pages).

Also, to expand a little, It would be nice to be able to run a report on items not placed in the drawing. Sometimes over many pages and revisions it's easy to forget to remove a part your not using anymore.
