EZ match on project DB level
I could really use a EZmatch on project level. When creating checklists I have a field for Serial No. If I could create a Excel file of that report and send to the installers, they would email it back to me with all 40 pages of serial nos filled in. I've tested with a cheap USB barcode reader and it works like a charm, eliminating the risk of erratic typing. It read all serial nos on products and boxes, so if I could import it back into the PDM that would shave 2-6 hours of typing off the project.
For quality control I also see the possibility of using one of the CPs for marking off the item as installed and tested. The installer marks of the item in the same excel file as he inputs the serial no.
