Default MMPD - Need to be Able to Resize Windows

See screenshot of packages in MMPD. I should be able to move my mouse over the window and resize it so I can see the full name of my packages. Instead I have to use a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom. I've been requesting this ever since 5 came out. Very irritating small detail.

Default in the works

Fairly soon we will be converting the MMPD code from VB6 to .Net. When we do this, I'll make sure the new controls allow you to see the entire package name. Sorry about the pita in the meantime.

Default Any Updates

Any update on this issue. It has been two years and still an annoyance when trying to add packages.

Default Major changes coming

MMPD will see a major upgrade in the next release. When that happens, packages will be overhauled, so you will see things like package "groups" or "categories" which will make this less of a problem. We'll also be sure to support longer package names. If you have any other suggestions for managing packages I'd love to hear them.

I apologize for the delay with this simple fix. There was a major shake-up in the company about the time this was submitted, and this one slipped through the cracks.

The latest SI5.5 is really turning out like a well tuned machine. But I have to confess that every time I hear a reference to VB in the context of a professional software package I throw up in my mouth a little bit ...
Can't wait to see VB completely put to bed.

As for MMPD upgrades:
- Global update of packages: select a group of packages and globally add/delete an item.
- Global update of items: select a group of items and globally add/delete an accessory.

Related requests: allow an equipment type that isn't Wire and Cable to act like Wire and Cable on drawings, including setting a headend but without a wire length. This would be for fixed length cables like HDMI/DVI/VGA that are part of a video jack. Otherwise if you add those items as Wire and Cable and forget to adjust wire length you end up with a +/- $50,000 HDMI cable...
