Default Change Order Process

I'm not sure if this post belongs here as a feature request or if I should generate a bug report. OK, so I a sort of kidding but I do believe some serious improvements can be made to the current process for generating change orders.

I previously posted this in the business Manager section:

I am new to this game and am having an issue with the change order process..when you generate a change order, it changes the payment schedule that your client has already signed and probably made payments on, how do you handle that?

We don't use the DTools payment structure. We create our own. Then, in 95% of the cases, we add the Change Orders to the next scheduled payment. We generate our own payment requests which include the scheduled payment plus/minus any change order amounts.
