Migrate Product Data from SI4 to SI5
Hi guys.
The SI5 has been out long enough to realize that it still has it's shortcomings and so some (many many?) of us are still working in SI4 as well as 5.
I can clearly understand that changes in SI5 may make it impossible to transfer products from the SI5 to the SI4 database, but there is no reason we can't migrate/sync products from 4 to 5.
In other words, rather than convert the whole SI4 DB to SI5 (which overwrites the SI5 DB) I want to transfer items from 4 to 5 that were added since the last time I migrated 4 to 5.
This has gone on long enough that a tool to do this is beyond due. Maintaining the database of products is work enough. Even worse to have to do double the work because of two versions.
At least this way when I know I'll need the product(s) in both places I'll update/add only in SI4 and then migrate those changes to SI5.
