Thumbs down Project Organization Request

Hey everyone,

Just a quick note/request regarding the organizational aspect of the project manager.

I know you have the ability to create archives and revisions of projects, however, if I am trying to quickly access the same project with different features without being "read only", i.e. creating a rough-in only project, equipment only project, labor, etc. for quick click and print accessibility, would it be possible to organize the project list as a drop down style with multiple "versions" that are not read only?

Here is my example:
<blockquote>
Smith Residence
+-
Rough In Only
Equipment Only
Labor Only
Combined
+-
Combined September 28
Combined September 29
Finish
</blockquote>

Something along those lines. I am just curious if that is something that would be useful? Is there an alternative?

Right now I am just copying the project, removing the unnecessary equipment and saving it as a different project with the same project number.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

At the moment there's not much you can do, except maybe come up with a numbering schema and filter the project grid. However, this is a very good idea so we'll see if we can do something about it in a future release.
