It still doesn't do anything and I cannot seem to find the shape it goes with. This field has been sitting in the speaker specs for more than a year and we were very excited about the new shape being released with version 5. I know there is a shape for the two sonance speakers, but the dispersion field for those is blank also. I can't seem to find how to use it in any help documents. Is this a bug or can I download the shape somewhere?

I guess you guys believe this to be a feature request. I guess.... It seems to me to be under the category of "make a feature that is already in the software work" request. I see this question was partially answered in this post Dispersion Field. Stop teasing us with useless fields or make them work please. I really want to like version 5 but it seems to be falling short on new features. It seems there was more work on the interface than anything else. It's kind of like painting your house. It looks fresh and new, but doesn't add any square footage... I'm starting to wonder what my Software assurance dollars are going to.

We have put this one in the pipeline for an upcoming release. As soon as we have the stencil itself created, we'll post it to this thread.

Will this be part of a Sonance stencil or the standard speaker stencil?

It is already part of the Sonance plan speaker shape. We're talking about adding this functionality to the standard plan speaker shape.

You can download and use the Sonance stencil by going to MMPD > Download > Sonance > Sonance.vss. Make sure the "Download Visio shapes" checkbox is checked.
