Default 5.5.597 Report Calculation

Not sure if there is a new feature causing this, but my reports are not calculating the tax correctly now. Australia is the setting for tax.

I have confirmed all items have tax selected in the project.

I have tested with standard (non modified) report also with the same result.

Any ideas? Anyone else experiencing this?

Based on where this was posted, I am assuming you just recently updated to SP2 (build 597). In SP2, we made changes to how taxes are calculated in our software to correct a mismatch we were seeing between what displayed on our reports and what was displayed within the Project DataMatrix.

As of SP2, we now round the tax to two decimals for each product, then add to get the total. Prior to that, we rounded the tax to four decimals, then added to get the total.

I have more of a problem with a report not calculating the tax correctly than a miss-match between the datamatrix and reports.

I don't understand why the tax is not calculated off the project subtotal. Its simply 10% of that. I did not have this problem previously, whenever there was a discrepancy it was because an item did not have the tax checkbox ticked.

Are your taxes drastically off on the project in question or does it appear to be due to rounding each product at 2 decimal places then summing? If you would like us to take a look at the project, please open a case with D-Tools Support and attach the project file: D-Tools System Integration Software - Submit an Issue

I also have this problem in Australia.
It doesnt look very professional to have quotes with tax errors of 2-7 cents.
I see this as a big problem. Is there any way to correct this?
