Default SI5.5 SP2 - No wire products (in a bulk wire phase) selected

Its not allowing me to assign headends. When I try to assign a headend it provides the message "No wire products (in a bulk wire phase) selected - OK".

Not sure whats happening here? Anyone else? Solution?

Yes I do have a wire selected. Tried through right click assign and through button on top of data matrix.

It appears to be any project created after a certain date/version has this problem.
All old project files work fine. Might be projects created with SI5 and beyond.

Hi,

Make sure the wire is on a phase which has the "Show HeadEnd Dialog for Wires" checked.

Say your wire is part of phase "XXX" click D-Tools | Options and make sure phase "XXX" has the "Show HeadEnd Dialog for Wires" checked.

Ahh huh. That is it - THANKS!

Is that a limitation or a bug? Just because you aren't prompted for a headend should not mean you cant assign a headend.

another good way to assign HeadEnd is to show the column in your Data Matrix and use the drop down. I find this to be much faster than going through the dialog box for a bunch of wires.
