Default Is it safe?

We've been holding off on the SP1 update since D-Tools 5.5.177 has been runing solidly now in our office for months.

Is it worth the update?

Will this overwrite custom reports and such as updates in the past (previous versions) have?

It didn't overwrite my reports anyway. For safety reasons you can export all your custom reports to your desktop prior to the upgrade. You will find that lots of bugs are corrected in SP1.

Thanks for the input.

I'll get to it later today.

No, it's not safe.

You got it! (Nice photo)

I guess we're both that old.

Are you having problems with the update?

I'd rather not spend a day at the dentist if I can avoid it.

Sorry, I was totally joking, should have made that clear. I had no problems with the update. My only advice would be don't do it on a weekend, so that if you do happen to need tech support they are available.

Nice to see that I am not the only one up late on the D-Tools Forum

From the support side, I can tell you it is safe. As others have suggested, don't forget to:

1. Check in all projects
1. A. Backup your reports by going to Navigator > Reports > Click on the Export Reports Icon
1. B. Sync your Data (MMPD)
2. Disconnect users
3. Run a backup using our backup utility or your own
4. Upgrade the Server first
5. Upgrade clients
6. Profit???

Let us know if you have any questions or need assistance. Thanks!
