Good for you. I updated. Now I login. Click on projects (or anything besides MMPD). CRASH!!!

I fully expect this to take weeks to resolve.

Not sure why you would expect that, also the fastest way to get support is to call our support number and leave a message. The forum should be a secondary resource for support. I've replied to your thread, please take a look.

Joise, I'm just annoyed. I called and left a message. I thought I would follow up by checking on the forums to see if anyone else was having the same problems....

At least you guys can all upgrade finally... we tried and it appears to be a 64 bit bug - as none of our servers or workstations (all running 64 bit OS) will upgrade. We're just waiting here for a fix... [sigh]... at least we're still up and running (unlike some others).

I would suggest that the 64 bit OS is actually the problem...

Just to keep everyone updated on my own progress, no issues so far, only positives. One issue I never even bothered to report before since I was too busy and don't use the feature is that D-Tools used to crash when I attempted to create and save a service order. That too appears to be fixed with the latest release. I am about to test the fix that was applied to find and replace, which is for me the most important fix by far...

I haven't spotted anything different from how I was working in .177 but I can report that everything appears to be stable.

I have noticed some pleasant changes and I am sure there are a lot more I have not caught. So far:

1. Find and Replace is 99% fixed. It does not replace component ID's unless you want it to. I say 99% because I notice it still changes a customization to a wire such as changing the wire arrow type (the end of the arrow), but that's a small issue.

2. When I drag a shape onto a page I now see only approved products, which is the default, which is good. But I can also choose to see unapproved products.

3. in MMPD there are also finally all the options needed for seeing approved, unapproved products etc.

I know there is a ton of other small enhancements and fixes, but those are the ones I have noticed.

Thus why it's a D-Tools bug. They have approved and released their product to run on 64 bit (as of this spring). This update doesn't run - so THEY must fix it - not the 64 bit OS. We are running 5.5 (non SP1) on 64 bit servers and workstations without any issues.
