i was trying to get a rise out of you and your love of 64 bit software more than anything else .
I too would like to see better support for 64 bit products and hardware but I have heard some horror stories too.
I definitely like the idea of virtually infinite amounts of RAM :thumbsup[1]:.

We've been nothing but happy with 64bit since we switched over to it this past summer. We've had no issues finding drivers, or software the supports it (D-Tools was the last product we'd been waiting for to support it). But everything else we have runs great - and 8gb of ram on my notebook and workstation - are a nice added bonus!

I have upgraded to SP1 with no issues with 64bit. My server is XP Pro 64bit and my laptop is Windows 7 64bit. Everything is working.

Yes, adding 4GB RAM to your 32 bit platform to find out it only allocates 3.25GB is really annoying...

Thanks for the feedback fellas! BTW, I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit yesterday (I have 6GB DDR3 CD2) and it is blazing fast. SI5 is not officially suported on Win 7 at this time but it seems to work fine, this is on my home PC so I'm not saying you should go upgrade or anything . Thumbs up to Windows on 7, it is everything Vista wishes it could be

Yep, I'm running Windows 7 on a machine too with no issues and yes it blows away Vista. I'm also running D-Tools on it and I also cannot endorse it .

Default Error code 2738

I have been trying to upgrade my server which is on the same computer as my desktop. I keep getting an ERROR CODE 2738. "Installation has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package". What is the problem? Any ideas?

Thank you,

Daryl

Hi,

This problem (Error Code 2738) may occur if vbscript.dll is not registered, which is required for running the D-Tools installation.

Can you try the following steps first –
  1. Navigate to Start button --> All Programs --> Accessories
  2. Right click on command prompt, select ‘Run as Administrator’ (For Vista Users)
  3. In the command prompt you should be in the directory C:\Windows\System32
  4. And then type regsvr32 vbscript.dll and then press enter.
  5. You will get a message DLL has been registered.
  6. Finally try to get server updates first via Start --> All Programs --> D-Tools --> Check for Server Updates and then client updates via Start --> All Programs --> D-Tools --> Check for Updates

Above information is grabbed from this msdn link

Hope it works for you.
