Default Re-install

Dear all,
since I had to install Autocad 2008 AFTER updating my SI 5.2 to SI 5.5, no d-Tools menus or commands are available.
Reading other posts, I realized that the only way to install the interface with Autocad is to re-install SI 5.5.

First question:
do I have to uninstall SI 5.5?

Second question:
I have only the DVD of SI 5.0: do I have to reinstall from it and then re-update (taking a lot of time to do that...) or there is a shorter way to solve my problem?

Gabriele,

You can run "dtshowmenu" without the quotes from the command prompt and it will active the D-Tools menu or reinstall it. If that doesn't work go to START > CONTROL PANEL > ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS > System Integrator 5 and click on it, then click REPAIR or click CHANGE > NEXT > REPAIR and follow the prompts, restart the system when done and you chould be goood.

Also, you can download the latest version of D-Tools SI5.5 directly so that you don't have to install from the disc and update one by one. Simply email support at d-tools.com for the link. Thanks!

Sorry, I found one more

1. Type netload
2. Browse to C:\Program Files\D-Tools\SI 5
3. Find DTools.SystemIntegrator.Drawing.AutoCAD2010.dll
4. Ok

That should also work

Hi,

This should actually be (since you are using AutoCAD 2008) --

1. Type netload
2. Browse to C:\Program Files\D-Tools\SI 5
3. Find DTools.SystemIntegrator.Drawing.AutoCAD2007.dll
4. Ok

The Netload steps have to be done every time you start AutoCAD and before you open a D-Tools autocad drawing from Navigator (which can be a pain).
The long term solution is to reinstall SI 5.5 or do a repair of SI 5.5 (even a repair should fix your issue). I would suggest going to Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs and doing a repair of 5.5 first and checking if the D-Tools interface loads correctly.

Thank You for your support.

Now I tried the solution with "netload", but i haven't found the file "DTools.SystemIntegrator.Drawing.AutoCAD2007.d ll". Why?
Is there a way to obtain it in other way?

Second... I'm wondering if there is a plan for next SP or updates of Dtools to implement the support for Autocad in other languages (for example ITALIAN, like mine!).

Best regards, Gabriele.

The file should be located at:
C:\Program Files\D-Tools\SI5\DTools.SystemIntegrator.Drawing.AutoCAD2 07.dll

Good news for you Gabriele, your English is good...

If you cannot find C:\Program Files\D-Tools\SI5\DTools.SystemIntegrator.Drawing.AutoCAD2 007.dll I suggest you do a repair of SI 5.5 - this dll is not instaled if AutoCAD is not detected on the machine.
