Default Install Went Smooth - Small Error Message Bug

I have installed 5.5 and it went smoothly except I get the attached error on all computers only when I click on the clients and contacts button. When I click OK it goes away and I am able to work just fine after that.

David,

Make sure that you do not have a duplicate contact in there. You have two entries that are exactly the same, so you just need to delete one and the error should go away.

Hi Jose,

I did have two duplicate entries, however deleting the duplicate did not fix the problem. I also existed the application and restarted it after deleting it just in case that was necessary. Still no luck. I also confirmed that the duplicate stayed deleted.

David,

This may happen due to duplicate Contact Groups. See attached image.
dup contact group.JPG
In that case what you need to do --
1. Go to Clients and Contacts group and activate the Contacts tab.
2. Click ‘Manage Contact Group’.
3. In ‘Manage Contact Group’ dialog check if you have a duplicate contact group.
4. Edit the dup contact group to a unique name.

Let me know if this helps.

Just want to follow up on this to say that 5.5 was the most painless D-Tools upgrade ever by far, and i am enjoying using it more than ever before, glad to see you guys have made a massive turnaround versus the 5.0 release, almost all the user feedback I am seeing seems to be positive, congrats. And I especially appreciate the work here from Naresh, best support here ever.
