You do have to have all wires that you want a wire label for in the drawing. But, that does not mean they have to be on the printed drawing. If you drag the bundle out, attach the internal wires to the plate and the bundle wire shape also. Then give the bundle wire shape a head end. This way the installers get a “to and from” for all the wires and the bundle has a “to and from” as well.. Or, attach all the wires and leave the bundle shape off the page, floating in the space around the plan view.
In the schematic pull the bundle shape out to the page also but in this case leave the bundle cable shape off the page. Have it float off the page or draw a box and place the bundle wire shape in the box with a note to installers explaining what this is.
When you show to a client: Go to the VIEW menu. LAYER properties and then check the VISIBLE box for the Wire category and that would make the wires invisible. I always showed my projects to clients electronically displayed on our conference room Plasma or demo theater. I would have the wires visible at first so they could see how complicated all this stuff was and justifies the expense of the pre wire. I would then go to View and hide the wires so it was easier for the clients to view while we walked around the project electronically. After the presentation I went back to view and turned the wires back on so I wouldn’t forget and send the installers out with a print without wires shown.
