Default How Projects are Listed and Adding a Date Column

We sort projects by Client. In sp2, the same client has project listing across many pages. How can we have each client's projects listed together when sorted by client?
Can a date column, such as last date edited or something to that effect be added? We would like to be able to see in the project navigation window when a project was initiated or last worked on.

the same is happening to me, WTF the same client shows up on multiple pages even when sorted by client. D-Tools can you shed some light on this?

The sort is only for the projects currently displayed in the list - the current 50 which are shown. The request to sort projects and request a fresh set from the server has been logged. For now you have to use the Search Projects functionality to search by Client.

How are the lists on each page generated? By date checked out, last used? Our clients are scattered throughout the pages randomly. I cant see a pattern aside from the most recently checked out ones are on the first page.

They are sorted in the order of checked in date - project checked in last will appear first.

seems like checked out projects don't show up in the Server list of projects? is that supposed to be the case? so users have no way to tell if a project is checked out or it just doesn't exist?

Richards,

Only projects checked out to the current user and current machine will not show up on the server list. They will show up in Local (since Local has a more uptodate copy).

The server project list will show projects checked out to other users (other than current user).

ah, nice. that seems to work well.
however, i don't like is how the pagination is set up (which i guess is the initial reason for this thread).
If i sort by client name then i would expect the list to be sorted alphabetically across pages, not just sorted within the page. The current implementation divides up client information (or whatever the sorting criteria is) across pages, which makes it hard to find.

consider that a feature request:
on the projects list, group/sort by the criteria then divide the results across pages if needed
