Default Connection to LanSync Server Error

After installing SI 5.1 demo version, I tried to launch the program, but I get this error:
"An error occured while attempting to connect to your SI5 LanSync Server."

Any solution for this problem please?

Impossible, as the program does not start after the error. Do I missed to install something? Is the installation of microsoft visio required before the launch of SI?

No, XP SP2. I unistalled and re-installed but same problem. Is this in relation with the time of my clock? maybe not synchronised with the server?

I emailed tech support with full description of the error.

yea, i'm not sure what the capabilities of the demo version is, but I've been using d-tools for over 5 years now and i'm addicted.

After you buy it and you need additional help, this forum is great, tech support is great and you can always contact me directly if you would like.

I am having the same issue with connecting to my server. I have pourchased SI5 and have been using it for about a month now, but today I get an error that won't let me log in at all. It says:

Desription: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime.
Email:
User Message:

at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ThreadContext.Pre TranslateMessage(MSG& msg)

Message=String was not recognized as a valid DateTime.

How do I rectify that, and what would cause it to change spontaneously like that?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Amanda

This error usually means that the Syntax of your Long Date format is not equal to your Short date.

March 26,2008 = 3/26/08

Check that in your Regional Settings.
