Default Addition of new products/product lines

First off, great program guys, I got a chance to see it at EHX, and ran home to use the trial, and so far, I'm loving it, no problems with setup, installation, or anything, Grade A stuff guys. Thanks

I do have a question for you though. I'm wondering how to add new product lines into the software. I use a product line from a company by the name of ELK. It's home automation stuff, as well as integration with security, distributed A/V, home networking, basically everything across the residential and commercial industry.

My issue is, if we are to go with D-Tools, I'll obviously need to impliment my own product lines into this software, and in order to really decide if we want to go with D-Tools, I'll need to be able to run a couple of trial projects with these product lines.

Any information regarding this would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: The reason for this posting is because currently there is no ELK products line either in the software, or available to down, or at least I didn't see it.

You add products throuh the MMPD Manage My Product Database button in D-Tools Navigator. From here you can add single products, entering their specs into a page.

If you have a full product line, you can import this via a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. This can let you enter data faster, especially if you get a product list from a manufacturer in the right or similar format

There is also a DPMI import that lets you import direct from the manufacturer.
