Angry Installation Error Message

I am getting the same error message as several other users appear to be:

"The following error ocurred while trying to validate your license. Please contact D-Tools Customer Support. System.EventArgs"

Since another user has already tried the "uninstall/reinstall using another email address" routine without success, asking me to do the same thing would seem to be pointless. The error message itself is of minimal help.

Could you post the entire error message?

If you select the message and hit ctrl+c, you can paste it into your post.

The wording between the quotes IS the entire error message. As I said, of minimal help.

You need to select the "click here to send" or something like that... there are clickable links that you can follow that will give you the entire error message. (I can't remember them exactly right now)

No, there aren't. This is a simple dialog box containing EXACTLY what I quoted, nothing more, nothing less.

Anyway, it is academic. The problem occurred because SI5 did not supply proper authentication to traverse our firewall (ISA Server 2004). It would appear that this is not just limited to initial product activation.

This is a serious flaw which is currently halting any plans we have to upgrade from version 4.

The registration service is nothing more then an outbound HTTP request. We are using Web Services 3.0 which will automatically detect proxy server settings and use them. It has been tested using ISA 2006 and works without any problems. The only thing it could be is a conflict with a rule in your proxy server.

Yes, exactly. It conflicts with a rule which requires authorization for outbound traffic. In order to allow the registration service to work I have to allow all outbound traffic whether authorized or not, which I am not sure I want to do on a permanent basis.

And for some reason, after I do that, the first screen still comes up with a 404 error in the main window.
