During the instalation of the SI5 Trial I recived an error code 2738 and the the instulation is aborted

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This my indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2738.

I dont have the software to do that

When the error window appears, hold down <alt> while pressing <Print Screen> this will Copy the window to the clipboard. Open your word process or and Paste. You can then attach the document to this thread. We are sorry you are having these problems. We will get it resolved.

If the error message is mostly text, many times you can also do a <Ctrl> <c> to copy the message test.

The sofware starts to load and then the screen states - Please wait while the Setup Wizard installs System Integrator 5. This may take several minutes. Then the Installer Information window pops up with the error code 2738. Upon the click of ok the next window closeing the application.

Try the following to resolve this issue.

Windows XP

On the Start menu, click Run.
In the "Open" field, enter the following command and click OK.
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
A message should appear stating that the "DllRegisterServer in C:\WINDOWS\system32\vbscript.dll succeeded."
Click OK and try installing iTunes or QuickTime again.
Note that the user needs to be logged in as the administrator or is a user with admin privileges for the step above.

Windows Vista

On the Start menu, click All Programs.
Click Accessories.
Right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator from the shortcut menu.
When the User Account Control dialog appears, click Continue.
At the command prompt type the following:
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
Press Enter on your keyboard.
A message should appear stating "DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded."
Click OK and try installing iTunes or QuickTime again.

If the above doesn't resolve the issue you may need to download the latest VBScript Engine from Microsoft.
