Removing SI4 to install SI5 on Vista machine - D-Tools Forum

I had installed a trial version of SI4 on my PC with Vista. Now I want to install the trial version of SI5, and I am having trouble removing it. I get the error shown in the attachment. Any ideas on what to do? Thanks.

You are trying to remove SI5 when you get this error message? How are you removing it? Using Add\remove programs?

I am trying to remove SI4 using Add/Remove in Windows. That is when I get the error message. When I ran SI4 as Administrator it seemed to work. Could the problem be related to privileges under Vista?

I am not sure why you would be getting an error message uninstalling SI4. SI4 wasn't even compatible with Vista. Regardless, having SI4 installed on the machine won't effect SI 5 in anyway. They are two completely seperate applications. Have you tried to install SI5 yet? If so, did you get an error and what is that error?

I unistalled SI4 manually by deleting all the instances I found, and then runing a registry cleaner. I then installes SI5, and everything is working fine.
