D-Tools SI SDK FAQ
The D-Tools SI Software Development Kit (SDK) offers a variety of software libraries, utilities, technical documentation, and samples to help you integrate your application with D-Tools SI in the shortest possible time. The entire SDK is designed around a single specification-which means that apps designed for one edition of D-Tools SI can easily be used with or adapted to other editions.
How does the SDK communicate with D-Tools SI?
Communication between your application and D-Tools SI is based on a client/server model. The application sends a request message to D-Tools SI, and D-Tools SI sends back a response.
What D-Tools SI products does the SDK support?
The D-Tools SI SDK supports D-Tools SI 4 Txt and above.
What is included in the SDK?
Manuals, programming samples, and the D-Tools SI Class Library to simplify your programming efforts. We consider it our job to provide you with the tools and to make it easy to learn how to use them.
What D-Tools SI features does the SDK support?
The SDK supports most D-Tools SI features, with a few exceptions noted here - and the list of supported features keeps growing!
What programming background is required?
The SDK is based on programming standards such as COM (Component Object Module). It works with most common programming languages. This documentation assumes you have a sound understanding of the following:

D-Tools Business Manager
Programming language of you choice
Microsoft's Component Object Model (COM)
Basic Knowledge of SQL
