Default Import .rpx file

I have a custom report that I never exported but I have a copy of the .rpx file. When I updated to SP3 I had major problems and because of various shenanigans all my custom reports were missing upon completing the update. I had all but one custom report exported.

How can I take this .rpx file and import it into the reporting center?

Hi fryeguy,

Custom reports are stored for each windows user (profile).

Did you change your windows user after upgrading to SP3?

If so please follow these steps-

Step 1: Backup(Export) your custom reports in your old windows profile.

Step 2: Import your backed up custom reports in your new windows profile.

Hope this will help you.

During the update we had significant issues. One of the resolutions was to uninstall the client software and rename "D-Tools" folders inside the profile. This included the folder holding custom reports. Then we reinstalled the client and updated to SP3. This left my reports out in the cold... I had an export of all but the last report I created last week.

I solved this one!
In D-Tools SP3:
1. Create a new report based on the Avery Label Report named "Receiving Labels".
2. Publish this report.
3. Open and copy contents of the .rpx file associated with my old report that was never exported.
4. Open new report .rpx file and paste contents. Save.
5. From Report Deisgner open existing report and choose the "Receiving Labels" report.
6. Notice this is the report you want.
7. Publish again.
