Thoughts on best proposal reports... - D-Tools Forum

I'm new to D-tools and I'm checking out the 30-trial and I'm liking what I see!

I'm putting together a small proposal for a client that just needs a few in-ceiling speakers, T2-C and some misc. wire, etc.

I'd like some opinions on what kind of sales luck you've had with clients with regard to your proposal report layouts....

I guess what I'm asking is some reports look better on screen then when printed by the client... Too much info can be intimidating to the client... Can we customize cover page logo size, etc.?

One thing I can tell you is to make sure to download the extra reports that are available, because they contain some proposal reports (the one with the 3 RCA cable image) that are 10x better looking that the ones that come preloaded. That's assume the reports I am talking about have not been added to the current trial.

David makes some good suggestions, but also remember that if you purchase the software (Pro version) you are able to create custom reports or just customize the reports that have already been created. Full custom reports take a little bit of learning, however it is very easy to just tweak an existing report.

Can you point me to the d/l extra reports location. I did go to the link on the D-Tools home page, but I believe those were from 2007 and seemed to be already available in this trial version.

By the way I feel the sales/tech support so far has been excellent with D-Tools.

The second one is what you are looking for - Proposals with Graphics. There are many different options included in that report set
