When I have finished and saved my proposal and try to run the proposal report functions I find the following behaviour:

Any standard text only proposal is generated without problem and prints okay.

Any proposal that features graphics or images stalls during generation. In the bottom LH corner of the reports page there is a 'processing line x' status progress field. This will stop at a given line and go no further. On some proposals it can be line 1, on others line 5, line 30 , etc.

The line that the report stalls on is consistant each time I try and generate any report for a given quote, but varies from quote to quote as to which line it stalls on.

This is true regardless of whether I try to run the report from within the SI text window or from the main reports screen.

I assume that the line it stalls on relates to an item in the proposal, but cannot work out the correlation. Where the report stalled on line 1 I opened the first item of the quote in MMPD and could not find anything untowards with it.

Currently i am unable to generate anything other than a text only proposal which obviously carries less impact than one with images.

okay, i seem to have sorted this!

I started a very small project for a theatre system, and tried the report with images again and it worked okay. Then I realised I had put the wrong receiver in the system, deleted it, and added the receiver I intended to use, and tried to run the report again. This time no joy, just as before it locked up whilst trying to process the report!

I looked at the other quotes I had prepared and all of them had the same receiver in! I deleted the record nin mmpd and re-entered it again. Now all of my previous proposals as well as this one print okay with images!

i have to say I found this more by luck than by anything else, and still can't work out a 'processed line' to quote item correlation to assist if it should happen again in the future.

However I am happy again and my 'pretty' quotes are once more going out to potential clients.

Having said this though I must say that I posted to tech support at the same time as I posted on the forum, and I have yet to receive any contact from them.

Hi,

There must be something in the receiver image the reporting code did not like. Can that image be attached (image of the problem receiver) or sent to support with this forum link noted?

We have tested this with multiple image formats and are not able to replicate this problem.
