Customizing Wire Connections Report - D-Tools Forum

I was trying to add custom properties 1 into the wire connections report and couldn't figure out why even though the field was populated (on the to and from device) I was not showing any data in the report. I then realized that when I add CustomProperty1 to the Wire Connections report that the report is attempting to show the data from the Custom Property 1 from the wire (which is not populated) and not the to or from devices.

Is there a way a to grab the Custom Property fields from the To and From Devices instead of the wire itself? I see there are xml objects for grabbing things like CompID and Manufacturer and not for the other fields. Is there perhaps a script that can be run do the same thing for the other fields?

I did this with a custom query in Si4, not sure how to do this in Si5.

The properties for that connection detail is all stored along with the wire item itself. The wire reports in D-Tools are filtered using a 'Required Filter' in the designer to only show items of the 'Wire' Type. So this is filtering out all information from everything except the wires.

Basically any data displaying in that row is going to be coming from the wire object. The From and To information is attached to the wire's data on the back end when a connection is made on the schematic or plan view.
