Default Component ID on Brother labels - to printer file

Many deliveries demands that we label all units in a system, not only the wires. What would be neat is a Brother label report that prints the Component IDs for the units only. If this report could be exported as a Brother label file (as our technicians has Brother label printers with USB) it would be great. As I also have a Brother 2420 label printer on my desk, I could choose whether I would print the labels when drawing or if I would Email the printfile to the onsite manager.

Great suggestion! We'll take a look at this for a future update.

Christian,

In Sp1 you can print Brother labels only for connected wires.
Sp2 will have an option to print for all wires in project or only connected wires.

What I'm looking for is a Brother label report that prints component ID on units, not wires. Component ID only, nothing else. We often need to label the units as well as the wires.

We have been looking to do this as well.
Especially if serial #'s can be integrated in to it.
We already track serial # for our clients. Integration in to D-tools for a final client report listing would be nice.

I have created a report that does this. It is based on the Check list report where I have removed the checkbox and added Serial No to each line. The report is set up to filter away CategoryType - Wire so only components show up. Usually, I have to manually filter away junction boxes, outlets etc each time I run the report, but that is about 20 secs of work. I only have this report in Norwegian but it took me about 10 mins to create this report. And I'm a novice in the reporting centre. For ease of use, I also inserted a pagebreak per location.
