Default Version of Microsoft Word

SI5 recommends 2007 Office Professional... is this necessary? I will need to be able to edit reporting (change header and footers, edit displayed data etc - basic editing).

There is Office Basic, Small Business and Professional (Professional being more than $100 than its predecessor Small Business). As D-Tools is the only application requesting Professional, and all computers being setup in the office to allow a user to logon to D-Tools it would be a considerable price increase.

Default Office Pro only for Excel reports

The only thing SI5 needs Office Professional for is Excel reports, since they rely on XML import. If you do not use Excel reports, you do not need Office Pro.

Note that in our next release, we will include the ability to export any report to excel after it is run. This is not the same as creating an Excel report and will NOT require Office Pro.

So Pro is only for Excel reports... does that mean if you have Small Business edition you could purchase a full version of just Excel and be able to edit Excel reports?
